Drainage is a technique used in phytotherapy to relieve the organs involved in the elimination of toxins and metabolic waste, such as the kidneys and the liver.

In fact, in order to function properly, our body must eliminate every day the waste and toxins produced by cellular metabolism or present in the environment around us. When this does not happen, due to poor eating habits and lifestyles, an accumulation of toxins is generated, resulting in the formation of free radicals and premature ageing, as well as the appearance of certain disorders such as swollen belly, water retention, skin blemishes and cellulite.

Water retention means the tendency to retain liquids in the body: when liquids are not disposed of properly, they stagnate, concentrating more in some areas, such as the abdomen, thighs and buttocks. Cellulite, on the other hand, is the result of the accumulation of a gelatinous substance under the skin, resulting from a disorder of the connective tissue and microcirculation. In this case the skin takes on the characteristic 'orange peel' appearance.

Drainage is carried out by stimulating in a prolonged way the organs predisposed to the elimination of toxins. H2O XPELL+ contains a number of plant extracts with a draining and purifying action, which help the body to eliminate excess fluids and waste:

• asparagus (Asparagus officinalis L.) and horsetail (Equisetum arvense L.) with draining, purifying and disinfecting properties for the urinary tract, useful to counteract the stagnation of body fluids and metabolic waste; mouse-ear hawkweed (Hieracium pilosella L.) with diuretic properties, useful in case of water retention and localised swelling;
• dandelion (Taraxacum officinalis L.) and java te (Orthosiphon aristatus (Blume) Miq.) with purifying, choleretic and cholagogue properties, useful for promoting diuresis and improving liver activity;
• cranberry (Vaccinum macrocarpon Aiton.), bearberry (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi (L.) Spreng) and Agathosma betulina, known as buchu (Agathosma betulina (P.J. Bergius) Pillans), having an antibacterial action on the urinary tract and antioxidant properties.

H2O XPELL+ should preferably be taken in the morning and in the afternoon away from meals for a period of at least 15 days. The best times to start a drainage and purification cycle are early spring and autumn, in order to prepare the body for the seasonal change.

It is recommended to take 3 tablets a day, one after each of the 3 main meals.

Kuntze) leaf extract standardized to 45% epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), horsetail (Equisetum arvense L.) aerial part extract standardized to 1% silica, bearberry (Arctostaphylos uva ursi (L.) Spreng) leaf extract standardized to 10% arbutin, coating (coating agents: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, talc, glycerol; colorants: calcium carbonate, copper complexes of chlorophyllins), stabilizer: mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, anti-caking agents: magnesium salts of fatty acids, silicon dioxide; cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon Aiton.) fruit extract standardized to 40% proanthocyanidins, vitamin B1 (thiamine hydrochloride).
