Description
Recovery is the time needed to repair muscle damage caused by intense sports activity and to restore optimal conditions to face new workloads.
SPORT RECOVERY+ is a dietary supplement to be taken after any sport that requires great physical and muscular effort, as it promotes the recovery of nutrients, energy, and muscular efficiency.
Often athletes, to improve their performance, use dietary supplements in the pre-workout phase so that the body has the energy needed to sustain physical and mental effort, but they neglect supplementation in the post-workout phase. The muscle recovery phase, however, is as important as the stimulation phase and plays a fundamental role in improving subsequent performance. In fact, physical exercise (whether aerobic or anaerobic) uses muscle glycogen to produce glucose and stimulates the oxidation of proteins and other substrates to provide ATP for muscle contraction. For this reason, post-exercise, the availability of amino acids and energy for muscle protein synthesis is limited. Post-workout muscle recovery has a fundamental impact on sports performance and is essential for the muscle, for tissue repair and regeneration, and for restoring physical strength.
SPORT RECOVERY+ contains carbohydrates, which play a fundamental role in post-workout muscle recovery, as they allow for restoring glycogen reserves and stimulating insulin activity, a hormone with anti-catabolic effects. Each dose provides 30 g of carbohydrates in an optimized 1:0.8 ratio of maltodextrins to fructose, a combination that allows rapid and efficient absorption, promoting faster muscle glycogen replenishment and better tolerance.
SPORT RECOVERY+ also contains essential amino acids, including BCAAs, which have been shown to stimulate protein synthesis and the release of anabolic hormones post-workout.
Glutamine, a non-essential amino acid that can also be synthesized by our body, makes up about 60–65% of all amino acids present in skeletal muscle and participates in various physiological reactions: it is involved in protein synthesis and has anti-catabolic properties; it has a detoxifying action and is useful in eliminating toxins post-workout, as it promotes the formation of gamma-aminobutyric acid and glutathione, a powerful endogenous antioxidant; it improves hydration and facilitates the passage of nutrients into muscle cells, supporting the biochemical and anabolic processes that occur within them.
SPORT RECOVERY+ also contains β-hydroxy-β-methylbutyrate (HMB), a substance derived from leucine, whose main activity is anti-catabolic. HMB counteracts muscle proteolysis induced by intense physical exercise, preventing muscle proteins from breaking down, thus helping to limit muscle damage and reduce soreness, promoting muscle recovery after physical activity.
The formula is completed by the presence of quercetin, a flavonoid with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory action that helps counteract oxidative stress induced by intense exercise and supports muscle recovery processes post-workout.
SPORT RECOVERY+ can be taken immediately after training to counteract the catabolism induced by intense exercise and to ensure a better absorption of the nutrients necessary for muscle recovery.
